The Waite Park Police Department will protect the liberties, rights and freedoms granted by the constitution of the United States of America, the State of Minnesota, and the City of Waite Park and ensure they are extended to all citizens.
The Waite Park Police Department will enforce the laws, preserve peace and strive to provide a safe community in which its citizens can work, play and raise their families without fear of violence.
Staff
The Police Department currently has 20 full-time police officers including 3 Sergeants, 1 full time Investigator and 1 officer assigned to the Human Trafficking Task Force.
Support staff
Our support staff consists of 3 full-time and 1 part-time records staff, a Community Service Officer and a Community Outreach Specialist.
Chief of Police
David W. Bentrud, Chief of Police, has been leading the Police Department since 2008. Before coming to Waite Park, Chief Bentrud was a Police Sergeant with the St Cloud Police Department in Minnesota.
