The Waite Park Fire Department is a paid on call fire department. This means that the fire fighters have full time jobs and respond to fires when they are available.
Since we do not have fire fighters on staff at the fire department it is difficult to accommodate requests for tours or to have a fire fighter visit your classroom, business, or event.
During Fire Safety Month in October the fire fighters visit the schools and educate kids about fire safety. They also hold an open house at the fire department to allow the public to ask questions, meet the fire fighters and see the fire trucks.
If you would like to request a fire fighter, fire truck or tour, please call and leave a message for the Fire Chief or email your request. Requests should be made at least one month in advance.
