State accident reports will be available approximately 1-3 days after the accident. Only a person listed on the state accident report may obtain a copy of the report, unless they have a signed authorized release from the driver or vehicle owner (listed on the report). Many insurance companies will request a copy of the state accident report directly from the police department on your behalf.
